So This Is Stella Montis… First Run! | ARC Raiders

Heading into Stella Montis for the first time in ARC Raiders felt a lot like walking into a dark room, you know something is hiding... You just don’t know what… or how badly it’s about to ruin your day.

My buddy and I finally decided it was time to stop circling the map and actually see what all the hype was about. No guides, no strategy, no real prep — just curiosity, confidence we probably didn’t deserve, and the classic “we’ll figure it out as we go” mentality.

And honestly… it went exactly how you’d expect.

Right from the start, the area had a completely different vibe compared to the earlier zones. The tension was higher, the encounters felt more unpredictable, and every sound had us second-guessing whether we were about to run into another player… or something much worse.

What made this run memorable wasn’t just the danger, though — it was the moments in between. There were some genuinely funny interactions with other players, those awkward “are we friendly or are we about to fight?” standoffs, and that constant uncertainty that makes ARC Raiders so unique. You never quite know whether you’re about to make an ally… or become someone else’s loot drop.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a proper first run without things eventually going sideways.

Our encounter with a Shredder escalated fast and ended even faster. One minute we were trying to figure out positioning and what our next move should be… and the next we were scrambling to survive a fight we clearly weren’t prepared for. It was chaotic, stressful, and honestly hilarious in hindsight.

That’s what made this run so fun, though — it was completely raw. No optimized builds, no perfect gameplay, just two players experiencing Stella Montis the way most people probably do the first time: confused, overwhelmed, and learning the hard way.

If you’ve been curious about what Stella Montis feels like for newer players, this video captures that experience perfectly: the tension, the unexpected moments, the mistakes, and the laughs along the way.

Sometimes the best runs aren’t the ones where everything goes right…

They’re the ones where everything goes wrong in the most entertaining way possible.
